Though sitting requires less physical effort than standing or walking, it puts a lot of stress on the lumbar area.Growing numbers of people from different walks of life are attracted to the strength, flexibility and mental focus that Yoga unveils. At Dhyana, participants talk about yoga for stress alleviation, weight loss, easing pain and even spiritual upliftment. Yoga classes are designed to relax and stretch muscles, which, when being used during a run need to be tight to withstand the weight of your body. Having your muscles too relaxed can be detrimental to overall running performance, and increase the chances of injury.

Sport has always been Sandra’s passion. Since her childhood, she have been active in the competitive sports of decathlon and biathlon.
She also finished several half marathons, marathons and hikes all around the world. After working for a few years in the corporate world, She finally decided to become a Fitness Professional. she got a BA degree in Fitness Economy from Germany and became a certified Personal Trainer and Gym Instructor.
Anand Shekhar is a Yoga Teacher, Meditation Facilitator and a Wellness expert since 2011. Previously he worked as yoga expert in India for four years.
After moving to Dubai in November 2015.Anand is working as a chief Yoga Teacher in Dhyana Yoga & Pilates. Anand teaches different forms of yoga e.g. Hatha ,Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow and Power Yoga.
Anand has designed a special form of vinyasa practice that he has named ” Dhyana Flow” which is focused on building awareness with health.
Nancy Zabaneh Cordahi is founder of The Red Chair, a Dubai-based platform designed to raise awareness on a wide range of topics in personal development, wellness and social change.
Nancy has written widely on leadership, innovation, education and women’s issues and has extensive experience developing and executing communications strategies for both private and public sector institutions.
Sheena began her journey to becoming a fascial release with movement/ Pilates Instructor, studying Classical Ballet from a very young age. Obtaining a Teachers Diploma in ballet (1976) at the University Ballet School CT SA.
Raising five children in South Africa, Aerobic classes gave her a chance to be herself for an hour, which lead her to qualify as a fitness instructor. Teaching many types of classes.
My name is MAJID and I am one of the licenced Zumba Instructors working with Dhyana fitness team and I am very excited about this! I fell in love with the Zumba Fitness program instantly as I quickly found out that it really is for EVERYONE. Young, old, big, small, dancer, non-dancer… it doesn’t matter!
